The Kentucky Lake Chamber of Commerce recognizes women in the community who represent their business or organization well. So many leaders have unique backgrounds and stories, and the chamber would like to share those stories.
Q: What is a general description of your role with CFSB?
A: “I am the team leader of the Business Services Team. Our team works day in and day out with our business clients at CFSB to ensure they have the banking tools they need to succeed. Our team supports the services that we offer our clients. We also get to plan educational sessions and events for our business clients throughout the year, which is always one of the highlights of my position! “
Q: How long have you been with CFSB?
A: “This January makes it twelve years that I have been with CFSB!”
Q: What is your favorite aspect of your job?
A: “Relationships for sure! My favorite aspect of my job is not only working with an amazing team, but getting to help solve problems or find solutions that best suit our Business Clients. Our goal is to make banking a convenience for our Business Clients, whatever that may be, each client’s needs are different. We get to be slightly techy, we can troubleshoot & support, but getting out of the office and the face to face visits makes my day! I love to see a client in their environment and learn about what they do. That helps us determine what might help them the most. The client interaction and leaving a client happy and satisfied with a service that we offer that makes their life easier is what makes me love doing what we do! I am a people person, so when I get to be out with our clients and our team, that is awesome and helping our clients out so that they can succeed, well, that is just the icing on the cake! “
Q: What is one piece of advice you live by as a business leader?
A: “My parents always instilled a hard work ethic in my sister and I as kids. They were great examples of what hard work looks like and something they always said to us whether it was about school work, sports, friendships or our jobs that has stuck with me is that ‘the energy you put out is the energy you get back.’ That struck a chord with me and is a motto I use in everyday life, not just as a business leader, but it has most certainly helped and applied in business! You have to be willing to put in the work, have a positive attitude and even ‘fail forward,’ when that applies!”
